Coaches

The OISA coaches are awesome and one of our most valued assets. Our coaches work with of riders of all skill levels and have a great time doing it.


Required Training For Head Coaches

The OISA believes in the safety-first approach. We want all riders to be safe and have a healthy snowboarding life. As a result, there are few different trainings that we require each coach to complete before working with students.

First Aid Training

Requried for Head Coaches only. Optional for Assistant Coaches.

Any First Aid certification is acceptable. This from NFHS is an example.

Concussion Training

Certificate MUST be ONE of the following

Background Check

through your team during the hiring process.

Attend Coach Clinic

Coaches must attend one offering annually. There is an in-person & an online version to accomodate everybody's schedule.

COVID-19 Training

If you are interested in coaching, have the passion, drive, are available one night a week for practice, 6 league comps (mostly weekends in January & Februrary), and State Finals (The 2nd week of March) then we encourage your application.
